Friends of Romania promotes and fundraises for projects that promote positive change in Romania. We support ongoing development projects in Romania that focus on expanding volunteerism, youth development, and educational opportunities for needy Romanian children.
FEATURED PROJECT
Girls Leading Our World (GLOW) and
Teaching Our Boys Excellence (TOBE)
camps are among the strongest legacies of the Peace Corps Romania program. Started in Romania in the 90's, they have since spread throughout the world in nearly every Peace Corps program. Tens of thousands of young woman and men have learned how to positively change their communities by learning about gender equality, discrimination, sexism, and leadership skills.
This June,
THE LAST PEACE CORPS ROMANIA GLOW/TOBE CAMPs will be held. Help Peace Corps Romania Volunteers Jovanka Balać and Jeremy Wustner-Brown finish the program with a flourish. Donate today to help their project.
We don't need your money, but the projects we support do. That's why Friends of Romania doesn't use donations to support our NGO. Your donation goes straight to the beneficiary. Our volunteer Board Members pay for the upkeep of the NGO, so your donations don't have to!
